Refund Policy
When we refund payments collected on this website, how to ask, how long settlement takes, and what we cannot refund.
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This Refund Policy applies to money collected on the JoinNEarn website through our payment gateway. It sits with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. It explains when we refund, how to ask, how long settlement takes, and what we cannot refund.
1. What this covers
JoinNEarn uses this website to collect enrolment and other authorised payments from members and prospects. Checkout is processed by a third-party payment gateway. A refund, if approved, is sent back through that gateway to the original payment instrument where the gateway and the issuing bank allow it.
This policy covers online payments recorded against a JoinNEarn order ID or member ID. It does not cover cash paid outside the gateway unless we confirm that payment in writing.
2. When we refund
We will refund, in full or in the excess amount, when:
- The gateway or bank confirms a successful debit but enrolment did not activate because of our system error
- You were charged twice for the same order (duplicate capture) and both debits are verified
- The amount captured is higher than the amount displayed at checkout, for the excess
- We cancel a paid enrolment before the membership is activated, for a reason that is not your breach of the Terms
- A statutory cooling-off or consumer right applies to that specific fee and you request it within the legal window, with any deductions the law allows
Approved refunds are processed to the original method (card, UPI, net banking, or wallet). We cannot pay a refund to a different person’s account.
3. What we do not refund
- Membership fees after the account is activated and you have used member services, unless required by law or a proven JoinNEarn error
- Fees paid so you can participate in ranks, points, or draws, once those services have begun
- Change of mind after a successful, activated enrolment
- Payments made with a stolen, shared, or unauthorised instrument (those are handled as fraud, not a standard refund)
- Gateway, bank, or UPI convenience fees charged by your bank or app that never reached JoinNEarn
- Prize items (tours, vehicles, villa, gifts). Those are programme rewards, not retail purchases. They are not “returned for refund” under this policy
4. Failed, pending, and duplicate payments
If checkout shows failed or pending, your bank may still show an authorisation. Authorisations that are not captured are usually released by the bank within 3–7 working days (sometimes longer for some cards or UPI). That release is not a JoinNEarn refund; it is the bank dropping a hold.
If two successful captures appear for one enrolment, send both transaction IDs. We refund the duplicate after the gateway confirms both settlements. Do not start a chargeback while we are investigating a duplicate; it can freeze both legs of the payment.
5. How to request a refund
Email info@joinnearn.com or use the contact form with:
- Full name and member ID (or the phone/email used at checkout)
- Date, amount, and payment method
- Gateway / UPI / bank transaction reference and our order ID if you have it
- Reason for the request and any screenshot of the debit
Requests should be made within 7 days of the debit for failed or duplicate cases, and within 15 days for other eligible cases, unless a longer period is required by law. We may ask for KYC to match the payer to the member account.
6. Timeline and method
- We aim to acknowledge a complete request within 2 working days (Monday–Saturday, excluding public holidays).
- We aim to approve or decline with reasons within 7 working days after we have gateway confirmation.
- Once we trigger a refund at the gateway, banks typically credit the instrument in 5–10 working days. Some cards and UPI apps take up to 14 working days.
The refund amount will match the sum we actually received for that transaction, less any non-refundable statutory collection we are required to retain, if applicable. You will receive the gateway refund reference when it is issued.
7. Chargebacks and disputes
If you open a chargeback or UPI complaint with your bank, tell us the case number. We will share settlement records with the gateway. A chargeback that we contest successfully may result in the membership remaining active. A chargeback that the bank awards to you will be treated as a refund and we may suspend the related membership and prizes until the amount is resolved.
Filing a chargeback for a payment you authorised, after using membership benefits, may be treated as a breach of the Terms.
8. Prizes and draws
Rank prizes and lucky-draw gifts are not sold as goods on this checkout. If a prize is delayed or substituted as allowed in the Terms, that is a fulfilment issue, not an automatic cash refund of your enrolment fee. Cash equivalent is paid only if we state that in writing for a specific prize.
9. Taxes and fees
If GST was charged and a refund is issued, the tax component is reversed according to GST rules and invoice credit notes. Bank or gateway fees that were not remitted to JoinNEarn cannot be refunded by us. Foreign-currency conversion, if any, follows your issuer’s rates and is outside our control.
